Hello, I’m Lorie,
Hi! I’m Lorie, a mother of 3 adult sons plus 2 adorable sheepdogs. I live in the upper Midwest where I greatly enjoy all four of the different seasons. I have been married to my very handy husband since 1995. Over the years we have remodeled several homes we have lived in. As a homemaker of 25+ years I have thrown myself into many endeavors including: running a home daycare for several years, homeschooling my 3 children for 8+ years and trying to create a warm and nurturing environment for my family and all who visit.
Why did I create a blog?
I decided to create a blog to share some of the ideas that I have picked up along the many years of happy homemaking. I am looking for a new creative endeavor as I am nearing an empty nest and thought it would be a fun artistic outlet for me in this new season of life. I enjoy seasonal decorating, simple from scratch cooking, gardening and easy DIYs.
